11 fast-track courts for crime against women


GURGAON: The state government will soon open 11 fast-track courts to handle crimes against women and children. State's education minister Geeta Bhukkal said, "Female population has taken a dip because of the rising cases of crime against women, which is the subject of considerable concern," said Bhukkal.

She said to help women in all districts in the state four-digit Women's Helpline has also been launched - 1091. The operators receiving calls are specially trained women police personnel understanding the sensitivity of such complaints.
